Going for Perfection!
A seminar on grooming, handling, conditioning, and maintaining your dog to its best physical and mental advantage!
Day 1
We start by using the right equipment!
- For example, the correct height of your grooming table.
- Tools to help you do a good job.
- And the right way to use them!
Coats
- Learn when a coat is ready to be stripped out! Or can it be put into a rolling coat?
- When you strip a “dead coat”, realize that it will take 10-12 weeks to have the correct length to be shown.
- 7 weeks after the strip you do a “de-fuzz” clean up. 5 weeks after that you should be able to do a show trim.
To elevate to the advance stage, every participant will have his/her most burning question answered and demonstrated! All names will be drawn one-by-one.
For these demonstrations all should watch and learn!
Day 2
Everyone can continue finishing what was started on day 1.
Please have your dog in the best trim and condition that you can master, before coming to this seminar!
- Now to the final stage, we will now look at every dog in a ring setting.
- Trimming a dog in front of a mirror helps greatly, but a shake on the ground can change things. Adjustments must be made, and I’ll teach you how to make them!
This final stage will show you how a judge sees a dog! It’s an eye-opening experience, believe me!
Spending a little time on this last step, will bring you closer to perfection!
I am looking forward to seeing you at the seminar! Always remember to be kind and helpful to each other!
