Notice to Exhibitors-The Farm Dog Certification (FDC) Test is a non-competitive pass/fail evaluation of a dog’s ability to exhibit self control in a rural farm setting.  The FDC Test is open to all breeds who are individually registered with the AKC, including PAL, All American Dogs with an AKC Canine Partners number and the FSS Program, who are at least 9 month’s of age. Dogs must be on a leash at all times during the test unless confined in a crate or kennel. Dogs should have a 6′ leash and wear a secure, well fitting flat collar. Dogs with physical challenges (including amputees) are eligible to enter provided, in the opinion of the judge, they display no signs of physical discomfort and can safely complete the test.  A dog may enter only once per event.  An event is defined by an event number.  Dogs may attempt each test element no more than twice.  Dogs must pass all elements of the test and overall assessment.  Dogs must qualify under two different judges in order to be awarded the FDC suffix title.  The judge may stop testing if he/she determines the dog is too fearful to perform the required elements.  The judge may request removal of any dog from the immediate test area at any time, if he/she determines the presence of the dog presents a risk to livestock, other dogs or persons.

Bitches in season may not enter.
